After an inspiring post from Ben Hutton, I have decided to take steps to share the more personal side of my current journey. Over the last few years, I have been blessed to adventure in ways I never dreamed. The new experiences have fed a passion to create something different with all the passion God filled my soul with.
I founded STBL Strategies on March 4th, 2024 with a vision to provide data-based, environmentally responsible, socially accountable promotional and print merchandise. I am a GIANT nerd who loves data and creative marketing. This new venture checks both of those boxes and will help me to be a good steward of the land.
Jumping off this pier has been invigorating, scary, and peaceful all at the same time. The hardest part so far is getting all the business basics set up with a good foundation while balancing my desire to grow in clientele. I want to provide solutions for clients... but setting up the website, accounting software, marketing tools, tax accounts, finding professionals to fill my shortcomings, and building the business on a solid foundation are requirements to serve clients well. Walking that balance is new to me, but I love a solid operation, so it is easy for me to dive deep with big dreams.
I am self-funding the operation. As a lady who focused the first 20 years of adulthood on funding and raising her children as well as I could, betting on myself seems selfish. Both of my children work hard and are capable, and willing to work for what they want and need. This season is different, now is the time to listen to the Lord and know that if I stop to be still and listen, then do the work, he will fill my shortcomings and provide.
Some of the software that I have been introduced to has made this venture more manageable and is both remarkable and affordable. If you are thinking of starting a business, I would love to share the cool things I have come across. The SBDC has been instrumental in helping me focus on the basic building blocks for long-term success. If you ever see yourself leading a company or founding one, get on their mailing list. I have not wasted a single moment working with them. Lastly, I am so thankful for my network of friends (many of whom are former clients or coworkers) family, and church family for believing in me, praying for my success, and investing their time in listening to me get all excited about hats made out of Repreve, or second life packaging or recycled content percentages.
Please join me on this journey, like the company page on Facebook and Instagram, and LinkedIn it to follow the journey to a more sustainable future in marketing merch & collateral.
